O MUZEJU TORTURE
ABOUT THE MUSEUM
The museum of torture is a unique collection of over 70 instruments and devices for torture and execution that outlines violence throughout human history, from antiquity to the present day.

ACCESSIBILITY
I could start this post on a funny note and say that the access to Tortureum „is a real torture“ to wheelchair users, but that would be no laughin’ matter. Joke attempt aside, I would really like to know if anyone who uses wheels to get around has had any luck in seeing the exhibition ever since they opened in 2015. The entrance to the museum is on the ground floor, but you will be greeted by stairs, there are no elevators and the corridor is narrow and winding. From the correspondence with the museum staff, I was only told that the museum is not accessible, which I confirmed upon arrival. Assistance with entry wasn’t offered, so if you’re set on visiting the museum, go with someone you trust.
